SEC Chair Gary Gensler Launches “Office Hours” Video Series

Investor education is high on Chair Gary Gensler’s agenda, and he is working to speak directly to everyday investors on topics that matter to them.

In a recently launched video series, Office Hours with Gary Gensler, he breaks down various subjects including climate risk disclosure, SPACs, China and offshore shell companies, cryptocurrencies, and digital engagement practices. The videos are short, running 2-3 minutes long, yet informative.

In them, Chair Gensler, a former professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, tackles timely topics on the SEC’s annual regulatory agenda.

“Investor protection is the focus of these videos and the heart of the SEC’s work,” said Chair Gensler. “I hope that by speaking directly to investors, we can help inform about our rapidly changing capital markets.”

New videos are published on the SEC’s YouTube channel and shared on the agency’s other social media platforms, including Chair Gensler’s official Twitter account.
