About the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion

The SEC established the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) in July 2011, pursuant to Section 342 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010. OMWI is responsible for all matters related to diversity in management, employment and business activities at the SEC. OMWI also implements requirements that are aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion in the entities regulated by the SEC.
