David Zimmerman

David Zimmerman joined OIAD in August 2022. He received a PhD in Management with a specialization in behavioral decision making from the University of California, Los Angeles. His published work includes an article examining financial literacy in the Journal of Consumer Affairs and several pending papers. He has received a number of prestigious grants from the Morrison Center and the NBER Research and Disability Research Center.

Prior to graduate school, Dr. Zimmerman worked at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in the Office of Research in the Behavioral Decision Making Section for three years. There he worked on research studying disclosures, how to encourage savings behavior, and financial well-being.
