Lisa A. Skrzycki

Lisa A. Skrzycki serves as Senior Counsel to the Ombudsman in the Office of the Investor Advocate. In this role, she is responsible for evaluating the potential effects of proposed SEC and SRO rules on retail investors, acting as a confidential liaison between retail investors and the Commission, and addressing retail investor inquiries and complaints about the SEC and the SROs it oversees.

Prior to joining the Office, Ms. Skrzycki advised retail investors in her role as Special Counsel in the Office of Investor Education and Advocacy. Ms. Skrzycki began her SEC service in 2012 as a student intern in the Office of Trading Practices within the Division of Trading and Markets. She returned to the Office of Trading Practices after graduation, where her work focused on the drafting and implementation of the Volcker Rule and other matters of market integrity.

A first-generation professional, Ms. Skrzycki received her law degree with honors from California Western School of Law and her bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Pittsburgh.
