Rulemaking for the EDGAR System

The Securities and Exchange Commission ("Commission') today adopts a number of amendments to its rules governing the submission of filings and other documents through the Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval ("EDGAR') system. These amendments reflect the Commission's experience with the EDGAR system as well as the close of the initial phase-in stage of the EDGAR project.
