SEC Procurement Forecast

Nov. 5, 2024

This forecast is provided as general information regarding potential contracting opportunities, including publicly available information on expiring contracts to assist interested vendors in potential bid/proposal planning. This forecast is an estimate based on information known at the time of its development and is subject to change. This forecast is not a request for information, a pre-solicitation synopsis, an invitation for bid, a request for quote, a request for proposal, nor a commitment by the SEC to purchase the referenced products or services.  Information on expiring contracts is provided for information purposes only and is subject to change.  Further, this information does not constitute a commitment by the SEC to purchase these products or services again in the future, nor by the same procurement methods that may have been previously utilized.  The SEC will follow applicable posting requirements for each potential procurement opportunity.

The SEC will provide opportunities to the maximum extent practicable for small business, veteran-owned small business, small disadvantaged business, service-disabled veteran owned small business, and women-owned small business concerns.

In cases where the SEC initiates a new contracting action, the SEC may choose to:

  • Use an existing Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC), an existing SEC Enterprise Wide contract vehicle, or an Interagency Agreement (IAA)
  • Set aside the opportunity for a specific socio-economic category of businesses (e.g. 8(a) small businesses, small businesses, service disabled veteran-owned small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, HUB Zone small businesses, and women-owned small businesses, and economically disadvantaged women-owned small businesses)
  • Use the Federal Prison Industries (UNICOR) for the procurement of products
  • Use Qualified Nonprofit Agencies for the Blind and other Severely Disabled for the procurement of products and services
  • Utilize full and open competition where all interested vendors may consider participating in the acquisition process.
