It seems to me that the explanations regarding share classes are currently discussed in the prospectus, albeit cryptically. I think if fund comapnies were to spell it out more clearly in the prospectus, then the problem would be clearer. You dont want to alienate the clients/consumers by burying them with legal mumbo jumbo - I think the public is disturbed enough when they have to close on a home purchase with the mountain of paperwork - You do not want to inhibit the sale of funds and Im afraid that Salespeople need to be allowed to sell and not have the need to be or act like attorneys.
We dont need the governement to step in where it isnt wanted just because some morons have screwed it up for the majority - Send those people to jail and let the rest of us go on our way of living out our uncomplicated lives
