This SEC proposed rules are eminently desireable and should be instituted as soon as possible. Information about the true cost of purchasing funds is often hidden and if available is often disguised. Certainly information prior to the sale by a broker of his commissions and his financial interest in the funds has never been available to the clients, in my experience.
Therefore I urge the Commission to resist industry pressure and institute the proposed rules that would require full disclosure of costs, commissions, markups and conflict of interest situations.
