We should be requiring disclosure in the 10K and Proxy of the names of compensation consulting firms used by the reporting company and related information parallel to what we ask of auditing firms. What other revenue did you, or do you, receive from the reporting company for what other services? Do you have other professional relationships with any of the officers or directors from the reporting company?
The recent NY TImes article on Verizon makes this need very clear.
