Earlier this week, I had the privilege of moderating a panel discussion on the importance of supporting the loved ones of fallen service members. The panel was an important reminder to us all that service does not end with the life of the service member. On this Memorial Day, as we honor the sacrifices of the women and men who gave their lives for their country, we keep the loved ones they left behind in our thoughts as well.

This Memorial Day I will have the tremendous honor of representing the SEC family at the 151^st Memorial Day Observance at Arlington National Cemetery. Many Americans will attend similar ceremonies at veterans cemeteries around the country, or will spend the day with family and friends in other ways. However we choose to recognize this important day, it is an opportune time to reflect on how an unwavering devotion to service has led our nation to where we are today.
