I am a retiree trying to manage my retirement funds to provide retirement income for my wife and I. I am opposed to paying for daily quotes on stocks and mutual funds.
This market data should be treated like the weather report from the National Weather Service. Free information for any person to use and plan and be warned in case of bad weather. I need to know about either a wind or a financial storm which may effect me.
Market data should be treated as a public good that should be widely available and affordable to ensure market transparency and create a level playing field among all traders and investors—not just institutions and professionals.
