Every attempt to make the options market more effective is a very welcome 
one in my opinion, and the 5 cent ladder now used (in U.S. option pricing) 
can be sometimes very much indeed.

I believe that investors would benefit from this kind of development, and 
maybe that is the reason marketmakers/other option exchanges are trying to 
resist this kind of development. Maybe it will even bring more business to 
exchanges as volumes increase?
