Date: 03/22/2000 9:03 AM Subject: Proposed Regulation FD Dear SEC-- I strongly support all efforts to decrease or eliminate selective disclosure of company information. As many more small investors open accounts or begin to trade online, it is terribly important that they have the assurance that the system is not rigged against them. I have no objection to brokers making all the money in the world provided that they do so on the basis of sound judgement and superior analysis of generally available information. But if brokers gain an advantage through selective disclosure that's just not right, and, more than this, it creates an inefficient market which ultimately hurts us all. Thank you very much for this opportunity to comment. Paul R. Smyth 1207 Prescott Drive E. Lansing, MI 48823
