Subject: Proposed Regulation S7-31-99

Dear Securities and Exchange Commission:
     
I am writing to express my support for the proposed 
regulation "Selective Disclosure and Insider Trading", 
File No. S7-31-99, Regulation FD. This regulation is 
long overdue, and proposes to address the 
long-standing and unethical practice by publicly 
traded corporations of selectively disclosing material 
information to selected institutional and other large 
shareholders before releasing the information to the 
general public, if it is released at all. It is 
unethical and unfair for corporations to favor certain 
investors at the expense of others - the proposed 
legislation would also make it illegal.
