Subject: new SEC rules

To whom it may concern:
     
I am writing to express my opposition to the proposed new rules 
(S7-25-97).  I feel that the current rules allow a healthy level of 
shareholder input into corperate decisions, an input which I feel is an 
important right of shareholders.  The proposed new rules would have a 
chilling effect on this important means for me to have input into the 
corperations I decide to invest in.  I urge that these new rules not be 
adopted.
