Subject: Don't Change that Rule! Date: 11/28/97 5:12 PM Dear Secretary Katz: I urge you not to change the current rules governing resolutions by minority shareholders. Corporations have been granted the rights and privileges of persons but not the obligations (who ever heard of a death penalty for a corporation that killed people?). So you ought not to tip the balance any further toward the corporate side, and you should continue to permit stockholders with opinions to try to gather support for their resolutions. Ours is, after all, a government by the people, not by the corporations. The minority shareholders should at least have the opportunity to be heard. Sincerely, Eve Pell, 192 West Blithedale Ave., Mill Valley, CA 94941 ----------------------
