Date: 1/5/98 2:00 PM Subject: S7-25-97 Dear Mr. Levitt: I am writing to record my opposition to S7-25-97. It is shocking that the SEC would even consider permitting stockholders to be gagged by preventing discussion and/or actions on gender balancing and fair employment practices, among other topics, at open stockholder meetings. Corporations must be acountable to their stockholders. As a stockholder, it is important to me that the means to hold them accountable be at our disposal. Please turn down the proposed rule. Thank you for your attention. Glenda Bailey-Mershon 759 E. Stark Dr. Palatine, Il 60067
