Date: 1/5/98 2:50 PM Subject: Rule S7-25-97 To: Arthur Levitt Securities and Exchange Commission 450 5th Street,NW Washington, D,C. 20549 Dear Arthur; Recently I was informed that the SEC was considering a rule that would prevent any,/many stockholder initiatives from being deliberated an voted upon at open stockholders meetings. I.E. ones that would effect womens interests, including fair employment practices, sex and racial discrim- ination, and harassment, the use of child labor and gender balancing boards. As a stockholder for the past 35 years, I plead with you to keep our nation a free and compassionate society, that you do whatever you can to prevent this rule from being passed. Though money I realize is very important in our society, it should not be our and sole interest. Sincerely; Drew Kovaly
