Subject: Attn: Jonathan Katz on File No. S7-25-97 Author: "Betty Eichhorn" at Internet Date: 11/24/97 11:47 PM I recently read that there are changes proposed to make it more difficult for stockholders to get resolutions on the ballot for the annual meeting. I think that this is a BAD idea. The current requirements are stringent enough. To tighten them would allow corporations to ignore social issues altogether, when the stockholders might very well have an opinion, if these issues were brought to their attention. Please do not make the changes proposed to make it more difficult to bring issues to the stockholders. Thank You. Barrie Eichhorn
