I believe these will help the individual investor in creating a more fair and balanced market. In addition to these rules, I would like for investors holding shares long, be allowed to prevent the shorting of the shares they hold long in their accounts. An investor should be able to tell his broker simply "Do not sell my shares short" . This should be a part of the account agreement. It is not fair to an investor to sit on a long position only to have his shares sold short, defeating the purpose of going long. Also, an investor should be compensated if he allows his shares to be sold short , from the day they are sold to the day they are returned. _________________________________________________________________ Crave some Miles Davis or Grateful Dead?
