A mixture of how these directors are nominated can only give smaller investors more power. There should also be very clear directive of what constitutes an independent director. I think that directors should also be under the age of 72. I also think it is outrageous that current and former politicians and their family members are allowed to sit on BOD of corporations that do business with the government.
