Subject: File No. S7-09-00 Date: 05/29/2000 11:44 AM I am all in favor for a rule requiring mutual funds to provide after tax data. I understand the SEC is proposing that the data be calculated using the highest tax bracket of 39.6. Vanguard provides this information on its funds at each tax bracket. THerefore, it must not be that hard for all funds to do this rather than just basing it on one tax bracket. Investors in lower brackets might avoid some funds that would be good investments for them if they overestimate their potential tax burden by only having the calculations based on the highest bracket reported. Sincerely, Dawn Stahler
