Katz, Secretary, Securities and Exchange Commission 450 Fifth Street, NW Washington, DC 20549. REGARDING: Acceleration of Periodic Report Filing Dates The acceleration of 10-Q reporting is probably almost practical. However, the ability of many public companies to finalize audits and then complete the Form 10-K in 60 days is probably not practical. Our Company has seen the Form 10-K grow from 58 pages in 1999 to 67 pages in 2000 to 87 pages in 2001 (a 30% annual growth rate) No doubt it will get longer in 2002. It will be a hardship on many companies to ask them to file a document of this magnitude in the few days that will be available after the audit is typically completed.
