I just became aware of a proposal, File number S7-06-04 regarding point of sale disclosures. I would very much appreciate the opportunity to review the details and request that you extend the comment period for 30 days. I am an independent Registered Rep, OSJ, and Registered Investment Advisor. This proposal as I understand it would diminish the value of an independent rep as the investment products offered would be limited due to the cost involved. The reason I became independent 16 years ago was to offer clients a variety of solutions. Limiting my offerings is counter to what is in the best interest of the client. Jack R. Fay, CFP
