Just a note to request that adequate time be given to evaluate and comment on the proposed new regulations on point of sale disclosure. There seems to be confusion and potential negative and costly burdens to our industry.
I have been in this business for 30 years and would like to continue to service clients .... but I must say that the challenge is becoming more and more difficult in light of increased regulatory climate which results in time and cost to a point that I am beginning to question my staying power.
Unfortunately I believe it is folks like me who have the most to offer clients in terms of experience and common sense. Soon we will all be forced out of practice. I now understand that also I now am subject to CE testing where I was once exempt. I find it difficult to keep clients a prioity and still be able to maintain compliance and cost controls due to compliance and technological requirements.
Love the people and desire to do the right things for them but the burdens are getting tiring.
