I am writing to you as a Registered Representative who has spend the past 18 years working in the financial services industry.

The focus of our business has shifted from providing sound financial advice and guidance, to completing disclosure paperwork. I am writing to you because the new disclosure requirements contained in the SEC's proposal regarding the sale of mutual funds and variable products are unnecessary and will provide no meaningful additional protection to consumers.

This information is clearly contained in the prospectus. Please consider the disclosure that you receive on a daily basis in the course of making purchases. In no other industry to we obtain the type of disclosures that we are currently providing client.

Sincerely,

David H. Wood
