From: Henry, Eric [ehenry@nhrs.state.nh.us] Sent: Thursday, May 29, 2003 1:36 PM To: 'rule-comments@sec.gov' Subject: File No. S7-10-03 To whom it may concern: In a press release dated April 14, 2003, the SEC indicated their intention to conduct a "thorough review of the proxy rules and regulations to ensure that they are serving the best interests of today's investors, while at the same time, fostering sound corporate governance and transparent business practices." We are concerned that the current rules do not serve the best interests of today's investors. One of the key reasons institutional investors have been hamstrung in preventing corporate wrongdoing has been our inability to act like owners of the companies in which we clearly have an ownership stake. Specifically, we have had no meaningful or reasonable access to corporate proxy statements. We applaud your intentions to review proxy rules and regulations.
