I believe that the regulations need change to ensure that investors maintain control over the choice of the corporate directors. There seem to be too many occurrences of directors being chosen by CEOs, resulting in the directors’ allegiance to the CEO rather than to the shareholders. Please give this your most careful consideration. Many investors don’t realize that they can have a voice in this matter by writing to you or I’m sure you would have many thousands of letters expressing my same concerns. This is really an important issue and I’m sure most investors would want all corporations run in a manner consistent with the principles that we all regard as fundamental to the standards that have made the US the country that sets high moral and ethical tones for the rest of the world. Sincerely, Frank G. Winant
