Regarding "short sales", we do not have open markets. Information about short sales transactions is hidden for too long and with todays technology, there is no reason for this information to be hidden where some "people in the know" can profit. I believe the SEC should eliminate all current short selling rules and replace them with one rule for all short sales on any/all exchanges. The one rule for short sales should be that every short sale must be reported within 8 hours of the sale and this data should be made available to the public in an immediate time frame via the internet. This would give all participants the same information and make for a more open market. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No banners. No pop-ups.
