SEC to Close on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, in Observance of National Day of Mourning for Former President Gerald R. Ford

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
2006-223

Washington, D.C., Dec. 29, 2006 - President Bush has announced the closing of government departments and agencies, including the Securities and Exchange Commission, on Jan. 2, 2007, to observe a National Day of Mourning for former President Gerald R. Ford.

The SEC's EDGAR filing system will not accept filings on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, and the SEC's public reference room in Washington, D.C., will not be open that day. Because Jan. 2, 2007, will be treated as a federal holiday for filing purposes, any filings otherwise required to be made on or before that day will be due instead on or before Jan. 3, 2007.
