Economic Fellow Named by the Office of Economic Analysis

Washington, D.C., Sept. 8, 2006 -- The Securities and Exchange Commission's Office of Economic Analysis today announced the appointment of Dr. Zeigham Khokher as an Economic Fellow for a term ending in October 2007.

Before joining the Commission, Dr. Khokher served on the faculty of the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance, his M.S. in Statistics, and his B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on empirical estimation of dynamic term structure models of options, futures and other derivative securities. He is also interested in exhaustible resource price dynamics in both a general and partial equilibrium context. While at the Commission, Dr. Khokher will work on various projects that raise valuation issues, particularly in the derivatives context.
