Martin Dunn Named Acting Director of Division of Corporation Finance

Washington, D.C., Feb. 27, 2006 — Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Christopher Cox has designated Martin P. Dunn to serve as Acting Director of the Division of Corporation Finance.

Mr. Dunn has served as Deputy Director of the Division of Corporation Finance since 2002. Prior to that time, Mr. Dunn served in a number of senior positions in the Division, including Associate Director (Legal), Associate Director (Disclosure Operations), and Chief Counsel. Mr. Dunn joined the Commission as a staff attorney with the Division in 1988.

Chairman Cox said, “The Commission is fortunate indeed to have an individual such as Marty to serve as Acting Director. He combines the necessary expertise, judgment, and experience to serve in this important role on behalf of investors and our capital markets.”

Mr. Dunn, 42, graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1985 and from the American University Washington College of Law in 1988.

John White, who has been appointed by Chairman Cox as Director of the Division of Corporation Finance, will assume his position on March 20, 2006.
