Commission announcementsCommission Issues Financial Literacy Study Mandated by the Dodd-Frank ActThe Commission today issued a staff study, mandated by the Dodd-Frank Act, with findings on what investors want to know about financial professionals and investment products and services, and when and how investors want to receive such information. (Rel. 2012-172) Commission MeetingsFollowing is a schedule of Commission meetings, which will be conducted under provisions of the Government in the Sunshine Act. Meetings will be scheduled according to the requirements of agenda items under consideration. Closed Meeting on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. The subject matter of the Closed Meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 6, 2012 will be: institution and settlement of injunctive actions; institution and settlement of administrative proceedings; and other matters relating to enforcement proceedings. At times, changes in Commission priorities require alterations in the scheduling of meeting items. For further information and to ascertain what, if any, matters have been added, deleted or postponed, please contact: The Office of the Secretary at (202) 551-5400. Commission Approves Revisions to EDGAR Filer Manual. The EDGAR system was updated to Release 12.1 and, as such, the EDGAR Filer Manual has been updated to share the appropriate information with the filers. For EDGAR Release 12.1, the revisions are being made primarily to support submission of Confidential Registration Statements; require Form ID authentication documents in PDF format; automate LTID generation for Large Trader Registrations; support minor updates to Form D and Form 13H; remove superseded XBRL Taxonomies; remove the OMB expiration date from Form TA-1, TA-2, TA-W, and 25-NSE; and submission of request of unused funds. (Rel. 33-9353). ENFORCEMENT PROCEEDINGSDelinquent Filers' Stock Registrations RevokedThe registrations of the registered securities of Redcell Power Corp., Regency Property Group, Inc. (f/k/a Island Residences Club, Inc.), Riddle Records, Inc., Wareforce.com, Inc., and Whistler, Inc., have been revoked. Each had repeatedly failed to file required annual and quarterly reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Thus, each violated a crucial provision of the federal securities laws that requires public corporations to publicly disclose current, accurate financial information so that investors may make informed decisions. The revocations were ordered in an administrative proceeding before an administrative law judge. (Rel. 34-67757; File No. 3-14969). SELF-REGULATORY ORGANIZATIONSApproval Of Proposed Rule ChangeThe Commission approved a proposed rule change filed by NASDAQ OMX PHLX LLC (SR-Phlx-2012-78) pursuant to Rule 19b-4 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 regarding strike price intervals in the short term options program.
