DRAFT EDGARLink Online XML Technical Specification (Version 11)

Update (February 13, 2014): EDGAR Release 14.0 implementation will be no sooner than Monday, March 3, 2014.

This DRAFT EDGARLink Online XML Technical Specification (Version 11), posted before Commission approval of potential regulatory changes in this release, is provided as a service to our filing community to assist filers, agents, and software developers in their preparation of responses to potential changes the staff anticipates. Since this is a draft specification, the SEC retains the right to change any part of the specification before the new system release is made final. In addition, the final EDGARLink Online XML Technical Specification is subject to Commission approval and may be revised before approval or not approved at all. Similarly, the posting of the DRAFT EDGARLink Online XML Technical Specification (Version 11) does not indicate Commission approval of any pending proposed changes relating to the potential changes reflected in the draft specification. The changes outlined in this draft specification, if approved, are scheduled to take effect no sooner than March 3, 2014. The final version of the specification will be made available if approved by the Commission no sooner than March 3, 2014 on the SEC's Public Website.

EDGAR Release 14.0 will introduce the following changes no sooner than March 3, 2014:

• The following new elements were added to the CoReg XML Schema (eis_CoReg.xsd) for submission form types POS AM, 8-K, 8-K/A, 10-K, 10-K/A, 10-KT, 10-KT/A, 10-D, 10-D/A:
  • sponsorId
  • absAssetClasses
  • absSubAssetClasses
     
• The following new elements were added to the CoReg Serial XML Schema (eis_CoReg_Serial.xsd) for submission form types 424B1, 424B2, 424B3, 424B4, 424B5, 424B7, 424B8:
  • depositorId
  • sponsorId
  • absAssetClasses
  • absSubAssetClasses
     
• The following elements were added to the CoReg Serial XML Schema (eis_CoReg_Serial.xsd) for future use:
  • delayingAmendmentFlag
  • references
  • startPeriod
  • endPeriod
  • accessionNumber
     
• The elements "depositorId", and "depositorFileNumber" in the EDGAR filing common XML Schema (eis_Common.xsd) were made optional.
   
• New repeatable enumeration types for ABS Asset Class and ABS Sub Asset Class were added in the EDGAR filing common XML Schema (eis_Common.xsd).
   
• The element "Sros" was changed to "sros" in section 3.4, Mapping of ELO Submission Schemas to Submission Types, to match the various schemas. This is only a documentation change and no change was made to any schemas.
