E-Biz Ventures

On January 31, 2001, the SEC obtained temporary restraining orders and asset freezes against Donald A. English and his businesses, E-Biz Ventures and EE-Biz Ventures. The SEC alleged that English and others fraudulently raised nearly $9 million from approximately 35,000 investors through the Internet as part of an elaborate Ponzi scheme. The Court appointed Chris Condren as Receiver. He has set up a website that provides information about the Receivership and expects to post a claims form so that investors can file their claims electronically.
