A.B. Financing Investments, Inc. (ABFI) and Anthony Blissett

On December 9, 2002, the SEC obtained a temporary restraining order and asset freeze against A.B. Financing and Investments, Inc., and its principal, Anthony Blissett. The SEC alleged the defendants raised at least $31 million from approximately 1998 to the time the SEC filed its complaint in connection with an affinity fraud targeting African Americans. In March 2003, the Court entered a permanent injunction against the defendants. The SEC has posted numerous litigation releases about this matter and a related criminal action involving Blissett. You can find them by visiting the SEC's website and inserting "Anthony Blissett" in the “search” box in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

The Court appointed Michael I. Goldberg, Esq., as Receiver over the corporate defendants. For the latest information on the Receivership, you can visit the Receiver's website.
