As a small business owner, I don't have the personnel to fill out the forms required. Our biggest problem materials are gold and tin, which are ubiquitous in electronics manufacturing.
I don't understand how punishing my company is helping anyone in Africa. I was once briefly in the Gold business in Dubai, we were selling a new technology to measure the gold content of jewelry. Hundreds of people came by our office in the Dubai Gold market from all over the world with new or scrap gold for evaluation in the three days we were set up. It would be impossible for anyone to evaluate whether these people sourced their gold from an illegitimate mine or not, and of course the buyers didn't care.
Please, please take this burden off us.
