It is important to keep intact the regulations and protections outlined in the Dodd-Frank. Knowing that part of the bill has already been dismantled by the Trump administration and the Republican party it is necessary to protect the Conflict Minerals Rule.
Unregulated conflict minerals have created violence and chaos for many people in developing states. We must be conscious about the inputs of supply chains for products produced and sold in the US and elsewhere.
US producers should not be supporting war, violence and environmental degradation by sourcing minerals from conflict zones across the globe.
Act responsibly in the name of US citizens and in solidarity with foreign populations.
