Hello,
I have volunteered with refugees who have been affected by violence associated with conflict minerals. One boy saw his mother and sister raped and his father beheaded, then his remaining family went to hide in the woods. After spending a long time finding what the could to eat, hearing people screaming in the distance and fleeing periodically with his older brother carrying his pregnant sister and he carrying his younger brother, they made it to a refugee camp across the border, and then to the U.S.
We need to know that our purchases do not support this. Supply chains must be exposed. China must know where there raw materials come from so that we know.
Conflict mineral rules should be strengthened, not weakened.
We can't look the other way.
Thank you.
