Dear Commissioner Piwowar,

I urge you to please keep the Conflict Minerals Rule because, as a consumer, I like to think I am not actively making the world a worse place when I make a purchase. As I understand it, it is vital to monitor closely the diamond, gold and coltan trade in conflict zones such as the DR Congo, because warlords and other militia will surely take advantage of any loosening of our rules. The consequences for voiceless civilians in Africa are unspeakable, and we should not dismiss them or their concerns simply because it is inconvenient to confront the consequences of our actions. When amending Dodd-Frank, please maintain this important legislation pertaining to conflict minerals. Thank you.
