As a member of the global community, America must take a stand on protecting those who cannot protect themselves. The rule on conflict minerals has caused changes for the better in countries where people are suffering due to wars, and it is important to continue to protect them from those who would use them to fund their unjust wars. Although many companies such as Apple and Intel claim that they would continue to purchase conflict-free minerals, this rule gives them the teeth to back up these claims. Please do not change the rule.
