The Dodd-Frank Act Section 1502 was the main catalyst for driving the supply chains in gold and other minerals to responsible sourcing. Yes, it has unintended consequences of avoidance but this can be rectified by amending the Act to reflect the OECD Guidance on Mineral Supply Chains. Do NOT repeal this act, otherwise all the good work may be unravelled.
