I’m commenting on the proposed rule change: SR-OCC-2024-001 34-99393. I have major concerns over the proposal and as a retail investor, I strongly do not support this proposal. Over the last several years, it seems that we are steering away more and more each day from what is intended to be a fair market. These proposals and others do not support a market that is fair and transparent! It seems these rules are in place to NOT protect the retail investor but to protect the clearing members who have made a bad bet and ended up on the wrong side of a trade… imagine if all these proposed rules were being introduced to protect retail investors when they end up on the wrong side of their trades. It seems ludicrous no? So why would it seem reasonable to consider this for the clearing members? A very concerned investor! Pascale.
