Hello! I'm a normal retail investor with a normal job. I live day to day and try to make ends meet... paying for my mortgage that I can barely afford and bills that seem ever increasing. The little money I do have, I try to invest into the market to grow my wealth for the future. If I make a bad investment or play the options market while things go south, I expect to get margin called like any other investor. SR-OCC-2024-001 is a load of crap and it just goes to show that the game is rigged against retail investors. The OCC should not be able to adjust margin requirements when there's high volatility in the market. I'm writing to you to express my opinion to REJECT SR-OCC-2024-001 to help pave the way for a fair market. I support the SEC's decision to REJECT this proposed rule change.
