Dear SEC,
I agree with the rejection of SR-OCC-2024-001 - and support the reasons for the dismissal as outlined on pages 4-5 of the Federal Register.
Any and all future attempts to change margin requirements during times of high volatility in the options markets must be summarily discarded as undermining current financial fiduciary responsibilities as written.
Thank you for upholding the integrity of our financial markets, and safeguarding OCC's interests, at-risk Clearing Members and counterparties on the other side of those short sell transactions .
“Idiosyncratic risks” really are only manufactured or created by outsized individual (or systemic) influence Wall Street financial parties, not household investors.
