Good afternoon, I'm writing in regards to SR-OCC-2024-001 34-99393 entitled “Proposed Rule Change by The Options Clearing Corporation Concerning Its Process for Adjusting Certain Parameters in Its Proprietary System for Calculating Margin Requirements During Periods When the Products It Clears and the Markets It Serves Experience High Volatility”. I have several concerns about the OCC rule proposal, and HIGHLY OPPOSE THIS PROPOSAL, AND DO NOT SUPPORT IT'S APPROVAL. I’m concerned about the lack of transparency in our financial system as evidenced by this rule proposal, amongst others. I always thought laws were in place to protect people like me, my fellow Americans, and others who invest in our markets abroad, I'm starting to wonder if this is not the case anymore. I understand corporations are necessary for the growth of our country financially, however if the corporations continuously abuse the power they have towards the people that keep them on top well I can not see that ending well.
