Thank you for the opportunity to comment on proposed rule change SR-OCC-2024-001 34-99393. I stand strongly opposed to such a change. The margin requirements are put in place to protect the markets and its participants. As a retail investor, I do not have the ability to adjust rules when things become volatile. Giving the OCC the ability to adjust margin requirements during volatility just kicks the can down the road. It absolves them of their obligation at the expense of investors. This should not pass!
