I must stand staunchly opposed to any loosening of margin requirements for major entities such as hedge funds and market makers. In periods of elevated volatility, margin is even more critical than otherwise. Further still, any loosening of margin requirements for major entities will surely be met with abuse and further over-leverage. Once more, I am against this rule proposition for that reason.
