Dear SEC, I’m writing to support the conversion of Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (Symbol: GBTC), currently the world’s largest Bitcoin fund, to the first Spot Bitcoin ETF in the United States. I continue to be an Illinois based investor in GBTC within my retirement account since 2021. I chose this product because I wanted exposure to the asset class without the need to self custody my bitcoin 401k holdings. Transitioning GBTC to a spot bitcoin ETF would benefit me and many other investors throughout the market in a few ways: market based exposure to the asset, more efficient trading, and lower fees.
