Dear SEC, I want a Bitcoin ETF. I can legally buy Bitcoin through many different exchanges in a matter of minutes. How can you possibly justify not approving Bitcoin in an ETF financial vehicle? If I want to buy apples, let me buy apples. If I want to buy rocks, let me buy rocks. If I want to buy metal, let me buy metal. You should not be able to restrict what I can spend my assets on outside of what is legal. Furthermore, it is hypocritical to approve a futures-backed ETF that enables sophisticated financial firms can manipulate/control the spot price without actually having to own any Bitcoin.
